NASTRAN sol 101 comparison with m3d's SOLverShown below is a comparison of a linear static solve performed using MSC Nastran and M3d's solver. The model was imported from an IGES file exported from ACAD Inventor and TET meshed in M3d.
Solid part auto mesher is progressing well, with good quality meshes being produced with the locally Delaunay algorithm. Below electrical enclosure box meshed in M3d.
Current work is focused on getting solid parts and solid meshing up and running for the next M3d release.
Now working on the M3d solids geometry kernel. Shown below the brep solid of an imported iges part from AutoCad.
M3dFea wishes you all a happy 2020.
Finally the first 64 Bit version of M3d is available to download (on the download page). Some improvements to IGES import. The speed of the import has been massively increased.
The preferred export option for Solid Works IGES files is "NURBS". AutoCad IGES is also another supported type. |
